The tax credit can give you up to $2,000 per dependent, with $1,500 of that being refundable. In order to qualify, your child or dependent must meet all the IRS criteria, and you must meet income requirements. Unfortunately for parents, the higher pandemic-related child tax credits with advanced monthly payments that were available in 2021 have expired.”
